WordPress Hack – How to Run a WordPress Blog on Lighttpd!

For the last couple months, I have been playing around with a lot of different web servers.  Because my web servers kept going down, I had to find a new solution to help minimize my on-growing web server hosting costs.

Alexa, the company that aggregates all sorts of cool web traffic data, has a great blog post on how to increase web traffic.  If you are a blogger, webmaster, or anyone who’s trying to promote their website online, this might be a very useful blog post to read. (for FREE!)

Optimize Your Site. Use your keywords and phrases on your site. Put them in the title of your page, in the H1 tags, metatags and throughout your site. Use them in the text of links that point to your page. Shoot for having keyword density of about 6%.

It’s been exactly 2 years, 7 months, and 26 days since this site was started.  In the beginning, this site wasn’t even a real blog, I used basic HTML code to create couple pages that looked like a blog.

Ad Hack – Barack Obama Ads show up in an Xbox360 Game!

It’s funny but I really think this Obama’s campaign managers are a LOT smarter than McCain’s people.  It’s probably due to the fact that Obama’s employees are “younger” (although I can’t prove it), or at least he must have hired smart Web 2.0 guys who play a lot of Xbox360.  Add to the fact that Obama’s website gets more web traffic than McCain here.

Anyways, it looks like Obama’s team did some good

DIY – How to “Not” Use Laser to Make Tatoos!

This doesn’t even qualify as a decent DIY but at least there was someone who sacrificed their skin to laser radiation just to get this thing documented at instructables.

But yes, DO NOT use lasers to make tatoos.  This is a no-no unless you want to die of cancer real soon.  Use your common sense, this probably was just (a horrible attempt) to bring more web traffic to instructables.
