DIY iPhone Controlled R2D2!

Here’s the cool R2D2 robot of the day, one that can be controlled via an iPhone!  I have to say this is becoming more realistic than all that other junk they sell online, awesome!

Barack Obama iPhone App!

Well it seems at least Barack Obama or his campaign managers are smart on the latest technology, they created an iPhone app for getting involved in this politics race.

Knock yourself out if you are for Barack Obama.  Now, where’s McCain’s iPhone app?  His probably too old to even know what an iPhone is.  Oh well, I’d really like to see a President who’s updated on technology.

iPhone Firmware 2.1 Update is Out!

Yey, iPhone Firmware 2.1 is out, supposedly faster and better of course.

Update includes:

    Decrease in call set-up failures and dropped calls Significantly better battery life for most users Dramatically reduced time to backup to iTunes Improved email reliability, notably fetching email from POP and Exchange accounts Faster installation of 3rd party applications Fixed bugs causing hangs and crashes for users with lots of third party applications

Free Mosquito Ringtones! (can’t be heard by Older People)

Here’s an interesting fact about ringtones with higher frequencies.  With these higher frequency “mosquito” ringtones, students or young people are able to set their cellphones to be only heard by people under a certain age!  Now here’s a way kids can set their phone to be audible, but not audible to the teacher, provided he’s over 30.

The short version, A tone outside the audible range of hearing for most people over the age of 30. This means that you can get phone calls and receive text messages in class or school

DIY – How to Block Phone Numbers on your Cellphone!

Here’s a great way to block phone numbers on your cellphone.  Of course, it only works for text messaging but could be useful if you get spam on your cellphone.
