Skype announced today that Skype for Android is available for ALL Android smartphones.  Verizon Wireless superstars like Droid X and Droid 2 have been enjoying Skype app for awhile now but now all Android smartphone users will be able to take advantage of cheaper/free calls via Skype using their 3G/4G connection or WiFi.

FINALLY! – Skype/VOIP Apps allowed on AT&T iPhones!

This comes sorta bit late but heck, great news for AT&T iPhone users who have been wanting to make free VOIP calls.  Of course, AT&T’s lack of coverage in SF Bay Area means for bay residents still won’t benefit from it but for those of you with better AT&T coverage elsewhere, you will have something more to play with.

Skype Hack – How to Run Skype from USB Flash Drive!

For those of you on-the-go or simply have multiple computers, you can learn how to run Skype from your USB flash drive so you don’t have to install the software on any computers.

Here’s all you have to do:

Install Skype on your PC and then find the installation folder. It’s probably something like “C:\Program Files\Skype.” Copy the Skype.exe file to a folder on your USB flash drive. In that same folder on your flash drive, create a subfolder called “data.” Create a new text file called “Skype.ba

DIY Hack – How to Make Web Based Teleprensence Robot!

Looks like iPhoneCam is coming soon!

Tight… these guys who are working on the iPhoneCam are gonna be at MacWorld, maybe I should get a Media pass tomorrow?

I figured it out: Now we can stream at up to 30 fps. My proof-of-concept is an iPhone app which streams video over Wi-Fi to a video driver component on the Mac. This way, you can use the iPhone’s camera stream in any Mac video program like iChat, Photo Booth or Skype.
