Lawn DIY – How to Make an RC Lawnmower!

Here’s a rather interesting hack that involves a regular lawnmower converted into an RC lawnmower.  Brilliant!

This should make lawnmowing much more fun.  Better yet, your kids will have a blast cutting the lawn.

This instructable will show you how to make your Arduino into an R/C interface that you can use for just about anything requiring remote control. I will also show you how I built an R/C lawnmower using my Arduino, a cheap R/C transmitter and receiver pair, and a couple of electric-wheelchair motors f

DIY – Nomad Autonomous Buggy

Here’s a nice little RC buggy for future reference on RC mods…

This was probably the most important thing to achieve. The R/C vehicle that I’m using has 2 servos, one to move the position of the front wheels and therefore controls steering and the other controls a mechanical speed controller (push it forwards and you go forwards, backwards and you reverse with an zone in the middle of not moving).

Servos are driven by a PWM signal which allows accurate positioning of the servo &

Micro Mosquito Helicopter

Here’s a cool mosquito helicopter that is better than the one from Radio Shack…

…using the ingenious BladeRunner double-propeller system which relies on a coaxial rotor to make piloting the chopper as easy as stroking a tame chipmunk. A three-channel digital remote controls up & down motion, forward & reverse, turning left & right and even allows the Mosquito to hover.

With two frequencies available, you could feasibly buy a pair of them and have Airwolf style sky battles, though youd have to rely on the glowing green eyes to scare your opp

Radio Shack Rescue Helicopter

Here’s a review of Radio Shack Rescue Helicopter which can fly indoors pretty nicely.

The only thing is that it is very unstable and cannot land…also you cannot really go forward or backward…just hover and randomly it goes…
