Guitar Pedal Hack – How to Make a Guitar Pedal Power Supply!

For guitar enthusiasts out there, you might want to check out this hack that involves making a power supply for your guitar pedal so you don’t have to keep using 9-volt batteries.

If you’re like me, you know how annoying it is to use up 9V batteries on your guitar effect pedals.  Its wasteful, and brand name 9V’s are almost $9 for a two-pack.  If you forget to turn off your pedals you’ve thrown away big bucks.  Its an extreme waste of money when you can build your own power supply for only about $25.

Rust DIY – How to Remove Rust by Making an Electrolytic Rust Removal System!

As an immigrant who couldn’t speak English when I first came to America at the age of 9, I would keep myself busy by building things like Thermite, which is basically mixture of rust and aluminum.  Thermite is a great detonator for various bombs like TNT and whatnot, also used as emergency flashing guns.

Anyways, enough about me making thermite as a 9 year old, that was just plain, great chemistry fun, glad I didn’t lose an arm or leg during the process.  This can be great for removing rust

DIY Dynamic Hand Powered Lamp!

Here’s a nifty idea for future reading lamps, a dynamic hand-powered lamp that is completely driven by the energy generated by your hand, kinetic they call it.

Really cool, great idea!

Karin Johansson’s lamp is a wonderful and eco-friendly concept that uses the globe of the earth as your source of light and the kinetic energy of your hands as the source of power. A dynamo placed inside the globe converts the kinetic energy to light, when you spin it. It’

Metal DIY – How to Remove Rust!

Removing rust can be a big headache but not if you use your brain a little and some electricity.

I used a 12V .5A power supply and attached the negative end to the pipe wrench and the positive end to a old piece of steel remesh. Both pipe wrench and remesh were put in a bucket of water that had some baking soda. After a few hours of bubbling I removed the pipe wrench and let it sit for a hour in a vinegar bath.

Thermaltake V1 CPU Cooler will not fit most PC Cases!

Maybe it was just a picture, but the above pic does make it seem like the Thermaltake V1 CPU Cooler is too big to fit in most PC cases.

As you can see, the CPU cooler actually fits well inside a PC case while the cooling metal fins are designed right next to your power supply and vent fans for maximum cooling.

I think this CPU Cooler might cool most CPUs pretty good. (of course, don’t compare it to a

DIY – How to Make your own Lunchbox Linux Firewall!

As an avid fan of Linux operating systems ever since I took Minix class, which Linux was born from, I love to hear about cool little DIYs on making a Linux firewall out of a lunch box.

The greatest thing about Linux operating systems in comparison to Windows or any other operating systems is that it can be easily custom tailored to do one thing whether that’s a web server, firewall, file server, or any type of server that requires stability at “no cost”.

This simple DIY s
