Circuit DIY – How to Make PCB with an EAGLE schematic!

Here’s a great tutorial showing you how to make a PCB with an eagle schematic.  I am sure most of your PCB experts know how to do this but for those of you dummies who can’t, this is invaluable free lessons.

In this instructable, we’ll make a printed circuit board from that schematic

I guess I should say that we’ll make a PCB DESIGN ; making the physical board is a different task, and there are a lot of tutorials on the net (and even some instructables) on making the board after you have the design.

DIY CPU Desk!

Do you like to tinker with your computer a lot like me?  Well, you can make yourself a DIY CPU Desk like the guys over at Evil Mad Scientists did.  Way cool. (via bed blog)

I just love the way that this desk looks. But it gives me an idea too– take it one step further, and what if it worked? You could use a single, giant PCB for the motherboard which sat underneath the glass surface of the desk.

Robocut – Lawnmower Robot with Basic Stamp!

Check out the Robocut, a lawnmower robot with Basic Stamp as controller.  You can even buy the kit so you can build one yourself.

Now, if you can get one of these DIY kits and make it solar, that’d be something to watch.

“RoboCut, is a BASIC Stamp powered robot. Two 12Volt motors with gearbox gives the two large drivewheels good traction and the robot can manouver in very small areas. Powersource is a NiMh accu-pack at 12V, 4.1 Ah. One motor gives the cutterdisk a rpm at approx. 3500 rpm. A Basic STAMP 2 is the brain in the PCB

DIY – How to Make an Etching Tank With Aquarium Pump And Heater!

Check out this cool DIY on how to make your own etching tank with an aquariam pump and heater!

I wanted to build an etching tank since i first saw one in an article on Make Blog. It was fun to make it and it will sure speed-up my PCB making process. The main thing that i wanted to achieve with my etching tank was to keep it thin so it holds up smaller amounts of etchant, it’s better this way because i need to store and work with smaller quantities. My finished tank holds 1,5 L of liquid when full.

Ants that Eat Electronics – a Miracle!

Well, here’s some great news that we’ve FOUND ants that can eat electronics, including your household computer, microwave, and anything with PCBs in it.

Why is this a good news?

Well, think of the electronics that cannot be recycled! If we can control and colonize these electronic-eating ants and use them to destroy old electronics, we can prevent the lead parts from electronics going into the earth and wala, we have a solution to the biggest problem in the electronics industry, the crazy rasberry ants.

With most countrie

DIY HACK – Wireless Keyless Entry using Relays

video://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O9VTfzYiOQg

Here’s a very simple wireless keyless entry DIY using some relays and stuff, very similar to the Wiimote Door Unlocker.

The mechanism is simple enough, just a momentary button on the panel in my apartment, but the mess of wires in the wall is a little unsettling. I took some meter readings of the terminals and sorted out the door button wiring. You can see wher

DIY APPLE HACK – Apple Bus Mouse garage door opener mod!

Check out this cool Apple Bus Mouse that’s been modded into a garage door opener. Brilliant!

So I got bored tonight and started going though my box-o-cables and came across an old Apple bus mouse I had gutted years ago. I always wanted to turn it into a garage door opener but never got around to it. Well, coincidently the garage door opener for my apartment parking is the perfect size to sit inside the mouse with room for a switch.

After some probing around the opener PCB, I found t
