Speed/3D Benchmarking, Nexus One is Still King of the Hill!

Check out this speed/3D benchmarking test between the Droid X, HTC Evo 4G, and the Nexus One which proves Nexus One is still the fastest of them all.

Of course, let’s not forget also that Nexus One is running the latest, zippy Android 2.2 Froyo while Droid X and Evo 4G are on Android 2.1.

Once Droid X and HTC Evo 4G are upgrade to 2.2 Froyo, we should expect similar performance between all of the three Android smartphones.

Nexus One Launching in South Korea!

Google’s first-ever physical product, the Nexus One will be hitting retail outlets of South Korea, where we will see how if fares against iPhones and Samsung’s new line of Android phones.

The good thing?  Nexus One in South Korea will come loaded with Android 2.2 Froyo, wifi tethering support, and yeah, the ability to view flash-based web sites with its mobile Flash Player Beta 10.1.

Google Nexus One Car Dock!

Google has just announced that their new Google Nexus One car dock that has built-in speakers (for better in-car experience), will auto-load the in-car menu, and re-charges your phone via the cigarette adaptor provided.  I think this is simply awesome and I am going to have to get one real soon.

Android Hack – How to Download and Install Paid Apps for FREE on your Nexus One, Droid, or Other Android Phone!

I found this hack on YouTube by a kid named Ray, who shows you how to download and install paid apps for free.  Of course, it’s probably illegal and we highly recommend to buy your apps and it’s informational purposes ONLY!

Basically what you do is do a Google search for any .apk files. For example, if you wanted an app called Picaso (just making it up), do a Google search for Picaso.apk.

Download the apk file, copy it to your phone’s SD card, then use apkInstaller to install

Nexus One Hack – How to Install HTC Desire ROM on your Nexus One!

Yup, I’ve been hacking my Nexus One phone a bit, this is my first time with Android phones but seems like I am getting the hang of it.  I’ve just installed the HTC Desire ROM on my Nexus One and I have to say, it’s rather nice.

I can also switch back and forth between the Cyanogen Mod and the HTC Desire, which is really cool.

Now, I just wish there were more ROMs available for the Nexus One.
