For those of you who have bought laptops/netbooks that don’t come with keyboard illumination, there’s a better way than simply attaching a reading LED light to your laptop/netbook (although that probably is the easiest way).  You can actually hack your laptop/netbook to add an LED light near your webcam, all so you can control it with your keyboard for turning on/off.  Of course, this is seriously a lot of work for adding a single LED light

Netbook Hack – How to Make Your HD Video Play Faster!

I just found this cool netbook/nettop hack on how to make your HD videos play flawlessly on Amazon, this might work well for my Eee PC as my Youtube videos lag badly.

Can be frustrating, but there is a solution:

> Deactivate deblocking filter on all the codecs that support it (H.264/MPEG-4 AVC)

How ?

Install klite codec pack, and at the end of the setup, choose deactivate deblocking.

Netbook Hack – How to Make a DIY Netbook Tablet!

Thinking about making your own tablet netbook?  Well, it’s not too hard if you have some knowledge of laptop hardware.  Here’s a great example for that, someone hacked a Dell Mini 9 into a tablet.

That should be quite a bit of good info for you to get started on making your own DIY netbook tablet.  I will also add this to my list of priorities for future projects.

Netbook Hack – How to Hack a USB Port into your Netbook Battery!

I don’t think this hack is practical for most people as netbooks can charge your USB gadgets anyways but for those of you who get stuck in an island somehow and end up with a netbook battery and your cellphone dies, you can use this netbook hack that shows you how to hack a USB port into a netbook battery
