WordPress Hack – How to Make Dynamic Magazine Style Theme Using WordPress 3.0 Featured Images!

You know WordPress 3.0 was introduced couple weeks back and I was so excited that Matt and their team have done a beautiful job of implementing “Featured Images”, which allow you to make a “dynamic magazine” style theme, while not hindering performance of your WordPress.

Before WordPress 3.0 was out, I had been using my own custom code, which uses ImageMagick to re-size images so I can fit them into my custom magazine-style theme.

How to Make a GIANT DIY Slip-N-Slide! [Weekend Fun]

For those of you who have a big hill near your house, perhaps your own backyard, you can take some of that sizzling summer heat off yourself by building yourself one of these GIANT DIY Slip-N-Slide using rolls of plastic sheeting.

Overall, it was a nice DIY project that turned out to be a very impressive slide.  For about the same price as you pay for those commercial Slip ‘n Slides, we made our own that will last a lot longer, is a lot longer and wider, and is sure to be a hit with the other kids in our family (and probably the parents too!).

Clock Hack – How to Make a DIY Meter Clock!

You never run out of ideas for making clocks as evidenced my this DIY Meter Clock you can make that uses digital-to-analog conversion to output time to a meter.  This could be a great way to recycle your old power meters and whatnot, many creative uses I can think of already.
