Kinda cool project using giagantic LEDs for a building!

A giant 2-story-high LED display was constructed using amazingly powerful Luxeon LEDs in a 6×6 grid of windows at the architecturally renowned Simmons Hall undergraduate dormitory at MIT. It’s a fairly simple circuit design that anyone can do with a decent amount of patience to wire each pixel.

Yes finally got an idea for my next party, floor controlled LEDs!

“Our flagship product, the Disco Dance Floor Controller Board is capable of controlling up to 192 LEDs (with 4-bit intensity control) and 64 binary switches via a USB interface. Using the included source code, a refresh rate of 17 frames per second is easily achieved. With some environment specific modifications to the software, rates in excess of 30 frames per second may be achieved. it’s a event held in the middle of the desert basically w/ bunch of regular people,

crazy people, and people w/ lots of creative ideas…

Anyways, Make has some interesting color changing LEDs which are kinda cool…
