Here’s some good news for those of you who have not been able to sync your jailbroken iPhones to iTunes, do it wireless using app called WiFi-sync. The app itself is $10 bucks but I’d say it’s all well worth it if you can keep using your jailbroken iPhones with iTunes, all the while ditching USB connection to sync it too.

FINALLY! Someone got iPhone hacked to run Google Android, this shows the versatility of Google’s Android mobile OS. Now, can you run iPhone OS on anything else than iPhone? Probably not and why would you want to?
This hack only works on the iPhone 3G not 3Gs but it seems that in time Google Android could be run on all versions of the iPhone.

For iPhone users out there who want to take some macro-photo shots of their subjects, you can use a pocket magnifier to do so without hacking your iPhone open.
Also, you can use old lenses out of DVD players too, see this other iPhone macro-lens hack here.
Although the results will never be compared to a real DSLR camera, the results below show that macro-photography can be done rather well using a pocket magnifier.

One of the biggest problems with hacking the iPhone to control other gadgets is the fact that iPhone doesn’t support external devices easily without use of a middle-man computer.
When searching for solutions, some projects show up which claim that “the iphone controls my RC car/my garagedoor” etc, but actually the iphone is communicating with a pc which then again communicates with an arduino. We’ve seen a ton of DIY iPhone stands in the past, here’s another one that uses your old credit cards. I think this is the best method I’ve seen so far since it makes use of your old credit cards or even those hotel plastic keys you forgot to leave with the hotel.
