HDTV Hack – How to Build an UHF HDTV Antenna!

With HDTV signals freely available, for those of you who want to get free HDTV channels, you might want to look into making your own custom HDTV antenna such as the one featured here.   I know it can help a lot since this guy’s already tested it and says it’s better than his Yogi antenna.

I built this bowtie style antenna in about an hour and can’t believe the way it out performs that other antenna. Swear to GOD! I am hitting 88 to 99 signal strength on all my channels now with NO DROPOUTS AT ALL!!!!

For those of you who have weak walls (plaster) that can’t hold a full-size HDTV, you might want to try this cool DIY HDTV Pole Mount that could allow you to put that HDTV anywhere you’d like.   Honestly, I think this is very functional and stylish, perhaps would work well for many unwarranted situations. Here’s some great news for Panasonic HDTV owners, now you can learn to hack your Panasonic and access its built-in hex editor.  We do not know whether what kinds of hacks are possible but this certainly opens doors for hackers to start modifying/customizing their HDTV.

The hack works on the G10 models of plasma TVs and uses the service menu to gain access to the EEPROM memory. With a few quick steps you can change some data with a built in hex editor, unlocking several new settings menus, or bricking your entertainment centerpiece.
