Here’s a quick video that shows you how to hack IP address of someone you are sending/receiving files through Yahoo Messenger.
Since most IMs do not actually transfer files themselves, the IPs of someone you are sending/receiving files will be revealed through a simple tool like netstat. (or better, you can use packet sniping tools like Ethereal.)
