Well, Google GMail is finally back up after couple hours of service outage.
Think about how many businesses rely on GMail to run their businesses. (including me)
Now that said, the world ecommerce/commuication now moving again, forward. Yey!

All things man-made will break, even Google’s own GMail. Now, you don’t need to fuss about it if you had all your GMail data backed up.

Go to tweet about your GMail being down on Twitter. Go see how many tweets there are about GMail being down on Twitter. Blog about GMail being down like I am doing right now. Pick your nose and wonder when you can use GMail again.Everytime I goto the Apple Store in San Francisco, I am amazed at how quickly you can check out without a receipt, the receipt actually can be sent to my e-mail box, which I can confirm in real-time using my Blackberry GMail app.
Apart from the Apple Store, I don’t see that many other retailers using paperless receipts, perhaps it’s ahead of its time.

Here’s a first look at the new Palm Pre, built on open source platform, sorta like Android.
It looks really good but time will tell how many hackers and developers will catch onto Palm’s open source platform. There’s no word if it’s based on Linux or proprietary, in which case it will be a hard sell.
