Germany Warns Against Use of Internet Explorer!

Recently, I’ve been hearing a ton of tweets on Twitter about Google’s accounts being hacked by Chinese hackers. I guess it turns out security flaws in IE has been at fault. My suggestion? Use Firefox or Google Chrome, I find these new browser are faster and better than IE.

Germany’s Federal Office for Information Security is urging people to stop using Internet Explorer because it isn’t safe and to find another web browser instead.

The warning comes after Microsoft admitted that it was a flaw in Internet Explorer that allowed Chinese hackers to get into Goog

Ham Radio Hack – How to Use Ham Radio without a License!

I remember back when I was 11 years old, I was trying really hard to get a ham radio license so I could talk to people all over the world.  I still remember staying up late nights, trying to learn English and Ham Radio at the same time.  Well, Make has a great tutorial on how to get started on Ham Radio without a license.

In the days before Internet and Dial-ups, I think Ham Radio was like the “thing” you can do to talk to people all over the w

DIY – How to Make Solid States Drives with SD Flash Cards!

Here’s an idea I had been thinking of before, getting together bunch of 16GB SD cards and making a Solid State Drive.

Apparently, a company in Germany has made this type of device available already, what a great idea:

With the Flexi-Drive S2S we introduce a flexible adjustable memory solution.

Simply insert the desired number of SDHC cards (max. 6) into the Flexi-Drive’s slots. The card’s individual memory capacities merge into

Skateboard goes 50MPH+ on the Highway in Germany!

video://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jyrdgdiuirw

A skatboarder in Germany achieved 50MPH+ on the highway.  The German government is still trying to track down the person who did it to put him in jail but I think they should give him an award instead.

A video of the skateboarder, broadcast on German television networks on Wednesday, showed a helmeted figure wearing a red and white protective suit building up speed by holding onto the back of a motorcycle before letting go and freewheeling.

“We put out an all-points bulletin and have

Human Powered Off-Road 4X4 – TrailCart!

Yey, a human powered off-road 4×4!  Can it go over big rocks though?

The Trail Cart: A permanent four-wheel drive “bike” for the true off-road masochist. Looking at the size of those tires, and the fact that you are powering all four of them with your legs, we’d suspect that this thing would takes thighs the size of hams to even start it moving. But a poke around the website shows the Trail Cart being ridden by some not-too beefy Germans (the Cart is made in Germany), and even one kid.

MT9 – A new Audio File Format that may take MP3s to another level!

MP9 is a new type of audio file format that allows the user to control each musical instrument.

For example, let’s say you are listening to some rap but you wanted to voice your own vocals, turn off the vocals and wala.

Another example is if you were a guitarholic and you wanted to listen to only guitar, you can turn off the bass, vocal, and everything else to focus on the guitar sounds only.

This is a great idea by the way. Currently, you could do something slightly similar by filtering the frequencies of the music file but it

Montegiro Lusso Turntable

Here’s a beautiful turntable for only $47,000.  I bet we will see it at clubs soon.

One of the most incredible looking turntables I’ve seen is the new Lusso from Germany’s Montegiro. The Lusso features three height adjustable connected cones made from alternate layers of aluminum and black acrylic, and a central inverted cone that supports the aluminum and acrylic platter.

Well, I hope this one makes it home as I need something like this, iPhone/iPod Touch honestly are way too small for real work.

Germany-World’s managing director Hannes Schwaderer today confirms what has long been a rumor on the Internet […]: namely, that there is an iPhone with Intel’s new nuclear-chip type. The device is slightly larger than the current version, Schwaderer. This is not the Intel chip, but to the larger display in the new iPhone is used.
