For those of you getting the Droid X in just two days, here’s a Droid X news round-up from our Droid X Blog:
For those of you getting Droid X this Thursday, you can actually order Droid X Silicone Cases right now as they are available on Amazon. I would get these over retail and save a couple bucks. I have the same one for my HTC Evo 4G, and I have to tell you these are really good cases for the money, probably the
For older people (generally over 50 here I am talking about), resolution on a smartphone isn’t such a big issue but readability is.
Let me give you an example.
I always upgrade my mom’s desktop computer from time-to-time and the number one complaint she has about her computer is the resolution.
She would rather have lower resolution monitors because the text size looks bigger to her eyes, which is around 1024×800 or 1280×1024.
Anything higher than that, my mom has problems with.
And most older people will start losing their close-up v

Check out this speed/3D benchmarking test between the Droid X, HTC Evo 4G, and the Nexus One which proves Nexus One is still the fastest of them all.
Of course, let’s not forget also that Nexus One is running the latest, zippy Android 2.2 Froyo while Droid X and Evo 4G are on Android 2.1.
Once Droid X and HTC Evo 4G are upgrade to 2.2 Froyo, we should expect similar performance between all of the three Android smartphones.
Last night all night and tonight all night (well it’s already tomorrow), I kept trying and trying to dissect the Droid X. I kept getting stuck trying to get the back cover off for like 5-6 hours but in the end, I was able to get the Droid X dissected fully without destructing my new Droid X.

Today, I took the Droid X review unit I received from Motorola/Verizon for a test drive and took some photos with it.
Btw, I am no photographer, I am probably one of the worst amateur photographers out there.
In my test drive, I found that the Droid X does some thing really well such as macro photography (as seen with my sushi shots) and more.
I personally think the Droid X does take better photos than my HTC Evo 4G because it “focuses” much better. Even when the camera is not in focus, the Droid X automatically corrects itself, lending itself to better fi
For some of you who have been waiting for Droid X, I’ve got some good news for you, that Droid X is just freakin’ AWESOME!
I hate to be so blunt about it but for the last 7 hours of playing with my new Droid X review unit, I think most people who touch the Droid X will simply love it.
The first thing I noticed about the Droid X was that it feels lighter than the HTC Evo 4G in your hands. Other than that, there’s some things Droid X can do that my Evo 4G can’t such as breathtaking ph
