DIY Russian Vacuum Fluorescent Tube (VFD) Clock Kit!

Lady Ada has done it again!  I still remember when I first met her at the Maker Faire couple years back, very nice lady indeed who keeps stirring up really cool DIY kits.

Here’s her latest Russian VFD alarm clock kit, it features vaccuum flourescent tube and open-source platform so you can hack it all you want.

Why limit yourself to a clock?  Hack it and make it tweet your GPS location via your Palm Pre.  hahaha.  Happy hacking.

Robocut – Lawnmower Robot with Basic Stamp!

Check out the Robocut, a lawnmower robot with Basic Stamp as controller.  You can even buy the kit so you can build one yourself.

Now, if you can get one of these DIY kits and make it solar, that’d be something to watch.

Diesel Porsche Cayenne in 2010!

With the latest oil crisis and prices of everything increasing (and not stopping either), car manufacturers are forced to be more creative.

The good news is that Porsche Cayenne might be coming with a hybrid engine by 2010, all with a diesel engine while horsepower and torque remain the same.

I think I’d be looking really forward to a vegetable oil Porsche Cayenne. (Or at least they will have DIY kits for people who want to convert it)
