Here’s a visually appealing DIY cassette tape lamp if you want to recycle your old outdated cassette into something useful and doesn’t take up extra space in your home.
The designers make each lamp from dozens of individual cassette tapes, arranged into visually appealing patterns. Not only do they look cool as a sculptural piece, they cast dramatic shadows onto surrounding surfaces.
Well it seems like more and more watch designers think you simply have to make the watch unreadable to make it cool and I agree it does look real cool.

Here’s a fun DIY clock made from bike parts!
The clock is build out of bicycle parts. One of the design principles was to use only used elements. Edison once said that to invent you need good imagination and a pile of junk. The designers took his advice seriously.

these are two versions of modified ikea lamps, inspired by several designers i’ve seen over the years that use felt to create amazing textures. felt is inexpensive, easy to work with, and comes in a lot of great colors. i love how you can mold it and it will stay in place, almost like clay. these are also a fun project to share with kids since it involves cutting out hundreds of felt circles!
