How to Turn your Android device into Remote Live View CAM for Canon DSLR with Android App “DSLR Controller”!

I’ve been actually looking for something like this, a Live View camera that can be tethered to my Canon 7D DSLR camera so I can have better control while I take 1080P videos I upload to YouTube.

It’s an Android app called DSLR Controller that turns any Android device (including Android smartphone/tablet) into a Live View cam.

Why a need for such things?

First of all, when you are taking a video with a Canon 7D, there’s no way to tell if your camera is in foc

Canon 24-105mm Zoom Test with Snails!

This morning I noticed these snails perfectly in the right spot, I HAD to take a video with the Canon 28-105mm lens zoomed in all the way at 105mm to show you.

You can read up on my Canon 24-105mm review and also my recommendations on those who want to start out in DSLR Videography.

Canon 24-105mm Lens Review!

For general filming, the Canon 24-105mm F/4 is the best out there.  I’ve talked to many other Canon videographers and many agree this is the all-around best lens for video shooting as you get a good range of zoom while the F/4 means you focal length stays the same while you zoom in and out.  This important since you will have the same focal length while you zoom in and out.

After personally using the

Canon Speedlite 270EX DSLR Flash Review!

For last whole year, I’ve been looking for a new flash for my Canon 7D DSLR camera, simply because I wasn’t satisfied with the built-in flash, which sucks balls since the flash is pointed at your subject and you lose the rest of the picture.

I really wanted to invest in a Ring Flash for DSLR cameras but that would mean spending another $1,000 and it didn’t make sens

Canon G12!

Although I wouldn’t trade anything for the quality photos and 1080P HD videos I can take on my Canon EOS 7D, I have always been searching for a smaller point-and-shoot camera that could do the job just as well.

The Canon G12 was just announced today, bringing 720P HD (whereas Canon G11 didn’t).  Still, I would really love to see Canon bring more features like 1080P HD recording and manual focusing.  That would really make me jump on the wagon.

Still, this is a really great camera to get, perhaps I need to give them out when it’s available on the mar

Canon Powershot S95 Review!

For those of you who want the best quality photos period without resorting to a full-fledged DSLR or even hybrid DSLR cameras, your best bet is to go with the Canon Powershot S95, which is the predecessor to Canon powershot S90.

Certainly, this is the “best” point-and-shoot camera on the market today for taking photos.  I meant “photos” here and if you are looking for something else like videos, there are other cameras you should look at.

Canon PowerShot S90 Review!

If you don’t want to use a bulky DSLR camera, you might want to consider getting the Canon PowerShot S90, which comes with a super-bright f/2.0 lense and sports a 28mm lense with 3.8X zoom (equivalent to 28-105mm).

I think this is the best point and shoot digital camera you can get for the money for photos.  Apparently, Canon decided not to include HD videos on the S90 (probably because it would compete against Canon’s other

DIY 130 Megapixel Camera Made with Canon Lens and Flatbed Scanner!

Here’s a really cool DIY 130 megapixel camera made with Canon lens and a flatbed scanner.  You can check out some of the photos took with it on the inventor’s Flickr.

Spyuge, an amateur photographer, said he used an 1200-dpi Epson flatbed scanner and an old Canon FD 50mm lens to make a camera that can’t fit in your pocket, or shoot anything at speed, but it does have 130Mp.
