Check out this computer in a briefcase.  It seems like a great idea for building your own rugged laptop for rugged work.

The next step will be to install my device programmer so it just shows a socket and indicator, and some black paint on the monitor brackets. The monitor is safely behind a piece of Lexan but it’s hard to see. The reason for this project is that I dual boot, which is easier from 2 seperate drives, and I need a third drive to use for storage of gigs and gigs of schematics. Robot USB Drive!

This robot USB sucks with only 256MB, pretty much useless unless you like the form design factor.

The USB drive robot is not only functional he is a conversation piece. This little guy is a 256MB drive and includes a clasp to attach to your keychain, briefcase, or purse. Also available in 1G (Select at Checkout). His arms are flexed showing is muscle powers.  Made of plastic and metal.

Solar Panel Briefcase!

Here’s a good idea for portable solar power cells.

The Metal briefcase consist of two main parts: The top cover integrates solar panel, while the base includes Li-ion batteries and chargers.

The briefcase will make its way to North America in the third quarter of this year (late summer). The price of the briefcase, which will provide juice for up to 75 watts is $1499.
