NES Hack – DIY “Android” NES Controller!

This guy has hacked an NES controller with Arduino and bluetooth module so he can use it “wirelessly” with his HTC Evo 4G. Pretty cool hack!  He even demonstrates the hacked NES controller working with NES emulator, priceless.

See video of it in action after the jump!

Since I’m using an EVO with HTC Sense I can’t use a Wii Remote (they horked the bluetooth stack). This is a project I did using an Arduino and a Bluesmirf bluetooth module so I could control my NES emulator on my EVO with an NES controller. I picked up the connector and controll

Palm Pre Tips and Hacks!

Palm Pre has been released in the wild, here’s couple Palm Pre tips and tricks:

Want an exact percentage of remaining battery life? Just tap the battery icon. You’ll also see the date (including day of the week) and options for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Airplane Mode. Another way to turn on Airplane Mode is to press and hold the power button for a few seconds: you can choose to turn Pre off or enable Airplane Mode. Don’t want Pre to capitalize a word that you’re typing? Press the backspace key one time after the capital letter and Pre won’t erase the letter. Instead, the l

Nintendo Hack – How to Convert your PowerGlove into a Wiimote-like Thang!

Do you remember when the first Nintendo PowerGlove came out? It was like the tightest game controller ever.

Well, nowdays “nobody” uses a PowerGlove but here’s a guy who hacked it, added an accelerometer, and now functional just like a Wiimote, or maybe even better.

Over the past month, I’ve done just that. I stripped the guts out of an original Power Glove, replaced the ultrasonic sensors with an accelerometer, the proprietary microcontroller with an open-source Arduino, and the wired connection with Bluetooth. I wrote an input manager to get the

iPhone 3G OS 3.0 Hack – How to Use iPhone 3G as a Broadband Modem over USB or Bluetooth!

One of the main features of iPhone 3G OS 3.0 is the Internet tethering feature, which basically lets you use the iPhone as a broadband modem over USB or bluetooth.  Smartphones like Blackberry comes with this feature as a standard but I guess Apple still hasn’t figured out how to monetize from it, so they have disabled the function in the official release but some hackers have found how to re-enable it.

It’s a great way to use your iPhone 3G as a broadband modem although I doubt it will be fast enough as iPhone is very slow running on

CES 2009 SwissFlash – Swiss Knife on Steroids!

Looks like the next generation swiss knife is here, a SwissFlash, equipped your typical scissor, knife, and of course, a 32GB Samsung flash drive coupled with fingerprint sensor too.

I’d say this is the swiss knife on steroids.  It should be available at Victorinox soon.

But it’s also designed to serve as a handy presentation remote, since it comes with bluetooth and a set of emulated left and right mouse buttons. So the knife you probably already carry in your pock

TikiToonz Tiki Speakers

For the most authentic Hawaiian experience, you will need to add this set of TikiToonz Tiki speakers, which will complement your spa, desk, or whatever.

The only thing I would have to say is that they could have made these speakers wireless using bluetooth at the high price tag of $199.99  (It comes with 20 feet of speaker wires I don’t want to deal with)

Not too sure it’s a great buy, maybe you can make one yourself.

I-O Data Mobile Keyboard

Here’s an interesting I-O Data Mobile keyboard for your mobile phones… kinda pointless when you have a Blackberry like me though.  Might be useful for a crappy PDA that has a crappy keyboard.  (Am I being too harsh here???)

I-O Data again, with this time, a new small keyboard for your mobile phone which can be connected to your device via Bluetooth.
