Recently, my old Acer Aspire X3200 that I’ve bought couple months back needed to be installed with Windows XP because it had more power and memory than my current HP desktop, which is REALLY OLD!  I used to have a Ubuntu on it (because I gave up installing Windows XP before) but I finally figured out how to install Windows.

The problem was mainly because my old Windows XP CD doesn’t include the new SATA harddrive drivers for installation, which the Acer Aspire X3200 comes with.

Believe it or not, my favorite OS is still Windows XP.  I have a secret setup that allows me to get no viruses nor spyware.  Well, I can’t tell you that but here’s another tip on how to downgrade from Windows Vista to XP.  (I’ve mentioned last time how to do it but this is if that doesn’t work.)

Computer Hack – How to Make your PC run Faster!

Here’s a really, really, simple hack that will make your PC (or Mac) run faster:

“Minimize” any windows you are not using, run them in the background.

Why?

Computer operating systems simply take up a lot more memory and CPU resources when windows are open since the graphics have to be constantly updated.

If you are editing videos, using Photoshop, or anything that requires a lot of memory, you can make them run ever so slightly faster by either closing or minimizing any other applications that you don’t need to run.

Windows Vista Tips – How to Recover to an Earlier Point in Time!

Today, I decided to buy a new laptop since my previous two $2000 HP laptops keep dying on me constantly.

I did get a Dell Inspiron 1525 for about $600 at my local BestBuy.  It turns out the laptop gives you bang for your dollar.

Here’s Microsoft’s latest “I am a PC” ad and I think we could have replaced “I am a human” for “I am a PC” here.
