DIY Motorcycle – Electric Sports Bike!

WOW, I’ve seen a handful of great electric motorcycles in the past few years but this is the first electric “Sports Bike” that I have seen.

What is more amazing is that this is a by-product of a 22-year old college student, who has built more amazing electric bike than a whole team of engineers at Kawasaki.

Here’s an awesome design for a bike that will let the rider “low-ride” or “high-ride” while ridin’.  What a great concept, I can envision future bikes coming like this.

Created by German industrial designer Stefan Wallmann, the Zweistil provides with two riding positions. One to travel in the city, when you need to be more agile and aware of the traffic around you. The other is to travel long distances and for leisure, when you can lay back and enjoy the views.

Eco-consciuosness – Space that Cars, Bus, and Bikes Take!

Here’s a simple picture of how much space that cars, bus, and bikes take in comparison to the number of people using it.  I have to say they should add skateboards, which should definitely come on top for the most eco-friendliest vehicle.

DIY – Drink and Party by making yourself a Bike Cooler!

Recently I’ve noticed a large number of people going through the beaches in San Francisco with backpacks and other junk on their bikes.  I think they were doing some kind of California coastal ride but here’s a great way to add a bike cooler to your bike in case do something similar.

An insulated bike cooler makes an excellent addition to a shopping or commuting bike. Or, I suppose, a drinkin’ & partyin’ bike.

Chinese SWAT Team trains on Segways

Here’s a humorous pose of the Chinese SWAT team practicing on segways. (Or maybe it was a scene in the movie shooting…)

I really think this is a really good idea as parts of busy Chinese metropolitan streets will let the segway travel much faster than anything other than motorcycles and bikes.

As for shooting shot guns from a segway, I’d have to say you need more training though.

Pong cycle anyone???

Cyclepong is an update of the classic arcade game Pong to use bikes as the controllers. To read about the first version of Cyclepong go to the Cyclepong page. I always wanted Cyclepong to be something that lots of people would get to play with. My original idea was to take it to music festivals over the summer, but things took a bit of an unexpected turn after I took it to the Dorkbot London Christmas special.
