Android Hack – How to Make a Custom HTC Evo 4G Wiimote Gaming Controller!

Here’s a great way to enjoy games on your HTC Evo 4G, hook it up to a Wii Wheel!  Should be also easy to do on other Android smartphones such as the Droid X or Samsung Vibrant.

Short List of what my procedure was: 1. unscrew top screws 2. cut to fit Evo landscape 3. put plastic on for fitment before glue. 4. applied glue to plastic, then glued to the wheel. Waited to dry.

So I am always looking for ways to be crafty, and after CM6 was released, I needed a way to play my NBA Jam, NBA Hangtime, Megaman, etc. with a wiimote.

Over the weekend, I had the pleasure of installing Ubuntu on my Nexus One Android phone.  Basically, this hack let’s you run Ubuntu as a virtual machine under your Nexus One Android phone.

Why?  This will give you access to millions of existing programs on Ubuntu linux plus your phone is now capable of doing so much more like being able to crack WEP, server web pages, and a whole lot more.

Android Hack – How to Install Busybox on your Android!

Busybox is a toolbox of popular linux commands such as cp, mv, and much more that can be installed on a “rooted” Android phone.

For those of you who want to install Busybox on your Android, you can now use the easy script I made.

Simply download busybox.zip:

Download Then unzip the contents onto the root folder of your SD card, then run ADB shell:

Type:

su

cd /sdcard

sh ./installbusybox.sh

That should install it.

Android Hack – How to Download and Install Paid Apps for FREE on your Nexus One, Droid, or Other Android Phone!

I found this hack on YouTube by a kid named Ray, who shows you how to download and install paid apps for free.  Of course, it’s probably illegal and we highly recommend to buy your apps and it’s informational purposes ONLY!

Basically what you do is do a Google search for any .apk files. For example, if you wanted an app called Picaso (just making it up), do a Google search for Picaso.apk.

Download the apk file, copy it to your phone’s SD card, then use apkInstaller to install
