Samsung Bada phone hits Europe (as of yesterday) and it seems like Samsung has finally come up with a flawless smartphone OS that could compete on the levels with Google’s Android and Apple’s iPhone OS. Of course, don’t forget that Samsung is pushing its Android phones hard also, the first Android Samsung being intro-ed in South Korea just weeks ago. (although I did get to see a bunch of them earlier this year at CES 2010)

For those of you who want turn your Palm Pre into a wireless router/hotspot, I told you how to do it before but I found a better way to do it, install Verizon’s mobile hotspot app on your Palm Pre. This is also supposed to work on all Palm WebOS products including Palm Pre, Palm Pixi, Palm Pre Plus, and Palm Pixi Plus.

For Blackberries lovers out there,e here’s some spy hands-on review of the new Blackberry Bold 9800 running the new Blackberry OS 6.
First thoughts:
Looks pretty good, perhaps the best Blackberry OS so far, RIM has finally updated their phones to smartphone standards of today. Of course, RIM is still the leader of smartphones for businesses, I just think they will do better by adding more functionalities such as a WebKit-based browser shown above.

Probably the best part about Maker Faire was Arc Attack’s GIANT tesla coils. I didn’t have chance to film the whole thing but above is just a bit of what happened in 1080P HD.
There’s actually a guy in the middle if you look carefully inside some kind of “safe” box, I guess it’s pretty safe to be in there other than the high voltage just screaming about everywhere else.
Yup, this “nude” robot was made from recycled typewriters. Pretty cool stuff you can make from old typewriters, don’t you think?
Okay, I know this is a tech blog but let me just add some of my input into NBA Finals.
First, I was hugely disappointed at LeBron James for losing against Celtics, just the way him and his team lost, no “heart” in the way he lost.
On the positive side, I was really wowed by Steve Nash and Pheonix Sun’s effort over winning the L.A. Lakers yesterday. It was rather surprising to hear Kobe Bryant stutter in the after-game interviews, it must feel like he had a hammer hit through his head.

SimbolRides was showing off their Ranger9 gaming arcade chair at Maker Faire, it seems like this could definitely be on my priority list of future gadgets purchases.

Also at the Maker Faire, this DIY mechanical “pong” game was one of my favorites. Kinda makings pong game more interesting again.

This one was one of my favorites at the Maker Faire, a human-powered pedal swing that powers a bunch of people to go on a thrill ride.
If you don’t believe me, watch the video. I was too busy taking photos and videos but this would be one of those I would have loved to gone on, maybe next year.
