Motorola LS1000Wb WiFi Digital Photo Frame Hands-on Review! [CES 2010]
Motorola introduces the new Motorola LS1000Wb Wifi Digital picture frame featuring 10-inch 1024×7468 LCD screen, wifi-enabled for online Photo services such as Flickr/Picasa, e-mail capabilities, internet radio, RSS feeds, and 512M of internal memory. SD and MMC are both supported for storage.
Although Motorola is late to the WiFi digital photo frame market, this LS1000Wb certainly looks very promising with a rather high reso
Verizon Palm Pre Plus and Pixi Plus Leaked Specs!
It looks like someone got hands on specs for Verizon’s Palm Pre/Pixi Plus models, there’s no noticeable difference between the Sprint versions other than storage space (that’s doubled) but I speculate that the new “Plus” versions will come with faster processor, more memory, and hopefully zippier web browser.
Otherwise, why would they call it a “plus”?
Oh yeah, I am still on the plane, live blogging in the air, hooray!
One more thing, my Google
Virgin Airlines Speed Test
So, I am actually on a flight from San Francisco to Las Vegas for the CES 2010 show, live blogging from Virgin and Google’s free WiFi. I did couple speed tests as shown in below screen shots, the upload speed actually isn’t too bad, just download isn’t super fast. Still, most of sites loaded fairly fast and comparable to a USB broadband card, perhaps bit slower.
I am also uploading a short video clip of the speed test so watch out for that too.
Cellular Hack – How to Hack GSM!
Well, it seems like someone has broken the GSM’s deciphering code, specifically A5/1.
According to Wikipedia:
A5/1 is a stream cipher used to provide over-the-air communication privacy in the GSM cellular telephone standard. It was initially kept secret, but became public knowledge through leaks and reverse engineering. A number of serious weaknesses in the cipher have been identified.
Well, I guess that’s no more, it’s
Ford will be Adding WiFi with Broadband USB Add-on Capability to its SYNC Mobile System!
Ford will become the first car manufacturer to have WiFi on-board except with a twist, users can simply plug-in their Verizon or Sprint USB Broadband dongle to share internet via in-car WiFi with others (or just for yourself).
I think this is a much better idea than trying to sell in-car internet services through proprietary technology as no one will buy that plus a a USB broadband dongle can be carried off the car.
For one, I already own 2 USB Broadband cards, Ford will make consumers like me to get the car and improve my WiFi experience in the car.
I have to a
Best Wireless N Router Review!
For those of you looking for the best Wireless N Router, the top-of-the-line Linksys 610N is probably the way to go featuring double bands so you can stream data efficiently:
Since the Router can operate in both the 2.4 and 5 gigahertz radio bands at the same time, it effectively doubles your available wireless bandwidth. For instance, you could set up your network to handle video streaming on one ra
Free WiFi for this Holiday Season!
Here’s some quick news for flyers this holiday season including myself, free wifi at bunch of airlines!
By the way, I will be flying Virgin from San Francisco to Las Vegas early January for the CES 2010 show, meaning I get free WiFi, yey! I will have some video updates on that.
According to FlyerTalk and MyMoneyBlog.com, these are the codes
Best Wireless Keyboard Review!
If you are looking to get a new wireless keyboard, you might want to research and make sure you get the right wireless keyboard for your needs.
For example, if you are going to be using your new wireless keyboard with your HDTV and you need a longer range than just a step away, you need to get a long-range wireless keyboard, preferably ones that run on 2.4Ghz.
So, in this review, let me list the best “short-range” wireless keyboard (which are much cheaper), and the “long-range” wireless keyboard:

Free WiFi coming to McDonald’s!
One of my favorite places to blog and work is McDonald’s because I can get a cheap large, regular ice coffee for about 2 bucks. Not only is coffee cheaper than Starbucks, McDonald’s actually has “tables” where I can sit and work without fighting other caffeine addicts.
Starting mid-January, McDonald will be offering free WiFi.
The free Wi-Fi will reportedly be available at about 11,000 of 14,000 U.S. locations. McDonald’s has used Wi-Fi provided by AT&T Inc. for several years, after first launching the service at 75 locations in San Francisc
