Yes, now you can get your own!

* able to react to voice commands – this is probably a blessing from go because it’s the only thing that will obey your orders all the times, unless it runs out of batteries. There are over 40 voice commands that the R2 can obey, examples like “turn around” or “move forward two units” show his dedication to pleasure you.

* capable of playing games because of the infra-red sensor – imagine the fun of playing tag with a robot, can you?

Here’s a cool kid’s drawbot that is awesome!

As far as I’m concerned, you’re never too young to start mixing art with robotics. So, next time you and your budding young tinkerers need something to do on a rainy day, you should have no trouble scraping up the parts to put together this crude, drawing robot project that we saw at the Seattle Robotics Society Robothon.

Combat Robot Kits Platform

http://zedomax.com/image/200610/zedomax_battlekits.gif

Check these guys out if you are going to make a robot or some type of transporation device.

Even if you are not into robots, I think this platform could serve as a quick, already-made travel platform

for any type of machine you are trying to make.

They provide these robot platforms with wheels, motors, battery to get you started with different weight classes from 30 to even 220 lbs.

The platform can travel at maximum speed of 20mph with 24V DC power…

I am thinking of a Zedomax Battlebo

Quasi the robot from Carnegie Mellon Univeristy

http://zedomax.com/image/200610/zedomax_quasi_robot.gif

Wow, check out this quasi the robot from Carnegie Mellon University! Very hilarious in the video and seems to be very

interactive at talking with people!

We’ve already got robotic eyedrops that can facilitate conversation and react accordingly to their surroundings, and there’s even an R2-D2 clone to get your feet shuffling once you’ve recovered, but researchers at Carnegie Mellon University have developed an emotive robot, complete with his own interactive booth

Snakebots – Snake Robot Prototype

http://zedomax.com/image/200609/snakebots.jpg

Wow, this is really cool… a radio controlled snake robot…maybe it can climb trees? and interact AI to those big snakes, anaconda?

Materials: Basswood and brass.

Components: Discrete TTL Control Unit, 14 servos, 16 batteries, 2-channel radio control. S1 was a recreation of earlier work by Shigeo Hirose in Japan, in which a single train of deflection travels down the length of the snake. Oscillatory deflections cause the snake to move forward. An offset to the oscill

Wine tasting robot from Japan!

Interesting wine testing robot from Japan…

The ability to discern good wine from bad, name the specific brand from a tiny sip and recommend a complementary cheese would seem to be about as human a skill as there is. In Japan, robots are doing it. Researchers at NEC System Technologies and Mie University have designed a robot that can taste — an electromechanical sommelier able to identify dozens of different wines, cheeses and hors d’oeuvres. “There are all kind

More bionic arms and the future, new arm good as new!

http://zedomax.com/image/200609/bionic_arm.gif

Here’s another cool bionic arm being developed by  Darpa!

Darpa, the Pentagon’s blue-sky research division, now wants to ratchet that work up about ten notches, by developing a “neurally controlled artificial limb that will restore full motor and sensory capability to upper extremity amputee patients. This revolutionary prosthesis will be controlled, feel, look and perform like the native limb.”
