Steve Jobs Claims He Supports Open Standards!

WOW, I just read Steve Jobs “Thought on Flash” where he “claims” he supports open standards while flash is not.

What intrigues me the most is that if Steve Jobs himself supports “open” standards, why in the hell is Apple suing HTC and why are most Apple’s products not open?

Chumby Hack – How to Turn your Chumby into a 3G Modem Router!

USB Hack – How to Make a CPU/Hard drive/Memory/Network Monitoring Device!

For those of you running highly-intensive game servers or even web servers, here’s a really interesting device that will let you monitor CPU, hard drive, memory, and network usage through an analog meter. Of course, I don’t think it would be too hard to add a digital LCD instead, probably even more accurate that way.

Nerf Gun Hacked as WiFi/Bluetooth Sniffer!

Here’s an interesting nerf gun hacked as a wifi/bluetooth sniffer. Not sure what exactly its purpose it but it’s equipped with a tablet laptop, bunch of wifi/bluetooth dongles, and even Cantenna to extend the range of wifi/bluetooth terribly farther.  (Perhaps you can do some wep cracking with it.)

Adobe Says “No” to Apple and Turns Focus on Google’s Android!

Apple has recently blocked Adobe’s Flash CS5 from its apps store.  Adobe Flash CS5 basically turns flash apps into iPhone apps much easily than using iPhone’s C++ SDK.   If Apple had decided to do this before many app developers have even begun to use Flash CS5 it would be understandable but their message is clear, Apple doesn’t like Adobe.

This being the case, Adobe has recently announced that they will no longer be supporting Flash CS5 for iPhone app development.
