Airplane Hack – How to Temporarily Fix an Airplane with Duct Tape!

One of my best friends and my college freshmen roommate was a redneck guy from Northern California, he has repeatedly told me that duct tape can fix almost everything including relationships.

Well, I can’t believe it, but this guy’s plane got chewed up like a ball of paper by a Grizzly Bear in Alaska then he flew off back up with some duct tape as temporary fix.  WOW, duct tape can save lives, make sure you note this if you own a plane.

The fishy aroma attracted a passing grizzly bear who, clearly frustrated at not being able to see the lovely “noms” i

DIY – How to Make an Alti-Variometer!

Here’s a cool DIY tool for para-gliders and alike, learn how to make an Alti-Variometer.  I’ve actually seen a para-glider who crashed into a tree by the highway the other week.  If he had landed on the highway, I am sure he could have easily crashed onto on-coming cars.  Perhaps this Alti-variometer could have prevented him going awry in the first place.

[Vlad-Andre] used some of his free time to build an alti-variometer. He does some para-gliding near restricted air space and wanted a backup altitude warning th

Driving Hack – How to Get More Mileage on Your Car by Driving More Efficiently!

Recently, I found out a “secret” on how to get more mileage from your car without any kind of gimicks or gadgets but by doing less, waaaay less.

I admit I am a city boy or city man if you want to call it that.  I used to drive very fast, tailgate everyone, cut off everything.  That’s just the environment I grew up in South Korea where yelling at your fellow drivers was just like eating breakfast.

Well, I have done that over 15 years of my life but sadly, my fast life has come to an end.

Of course, I did go from 15.4 miles per gallon to a whopping 19

Motorcycle DIY Video – How to Ride a Motorcycle!

Let me tell you a story of how I started riding motorcycles.

The very first time was at my best friend’s house up in Humbolt, California where he had a dirt-bike.  Well, to cap the story short, I didn’t know how to ride, didn’t have a helmet on, ultimately did a superman and sorta chipped a part of my leg bones after flipping over about 3 times on the ground.

As ugly as that experience sounds, I got the courage to actually BUY a motorcycle couple years later in South Korea, where I was staying.  The traffic was so bad, the only way to get around the city fa

What is Sonic Boom?

Today, I was just surfing around the web and found “Sonic Boom”!

What is it?

It’s when the aircraft goes faster than the speed of sound and creates water vapors basically or according to Wikipedia:

When an object passes through the air, it creates a series of pressure waves in front of it and behind it, similar to the bow and stern waves created by a boat. These waves travel at the speed of sound, and as the speed of the object increases, the waves are forced together, or compressed

Bike Hack – How to Make a USB Charger for your Bike!

If you are like me, you are probably very familiar with bike lights that use the power of the pedal to keep your eye-sight bright when riding at night.  Well, here’s a great idea that uses that same power, except to power your USB gadgets such as iPod, iPhone, or whatever.

We initially theorized the development and feasibility of a regenerative braking system for use on bicycles. This system would create a mobile power source to extend the battery life of portable electronic devices carried by the rider.
