Flying DIY – How to Beat Jetlag!

I used to fly a lot between Seoul, Korea and San Francisco so I know what it means to “jetlag”.  It’s a good 10-12 hour flight and I usually do couple things to help myself not become a victim to jetlag.

Some of these I read in magazine and some I devised myself:

    If you are going to be landing near morning or afternoon, make sure you get some sleep.  I even advise to actually taking sleeping pills on the plane so you literally force yourself to sleep.  This way, you will still be a bit fresh and be able to stay awake until night falls.  The first day is

Virgin Airlines WiFi Speed Test!

As promised before my venture at CES 2010, I did do a bunch of speed tests on my flight from San Francisco to Las Vegas.  It was a rather short flight of one and a half hours but it was enough time for me to do a bunch of speed tests at different locations (I mean location of speed tests).

On average, I did get about 0.22 to 0.50Mbps download speed and upload stayed same around 0.23Mbps.

It was pretty zippy to do most of web browsing but you probably don’t want to upload anything over those networks.

Flight School For UAVs!

For those of you who wanted to be a pilot but don’t want to risk getting shot down by the enemy while in flight, you might be surprised to hear that University of North Dakota is offering flight schools for UAVs.  I think this is actually a great idea for future combats, lessening human casualties. (at least for our side)
