Send a SMS message to a cell phone using a Bluetree GPRS modem and CuTOUCH™

Here’s an application note that uses Bluetree’s M2M Express GPRS modem and CuTOUCH touch screen controller to send a text message. These GPRS modems are becoming more and more common so we gotta learn to interface w/ them at one point or another. Yes, we will also use a “touch-enabled” Chocolate LG cell phone… 🙂 link

Helio? Multi-lanugage service?

I guess Helio is the new cell phone service provider.

I actually had a random chance of playing golf 6 months ago w/ one of the project managers of SK Telecom, who is the parent company behind Helio… I heard something about it, and now like couple months later, it’s here!

wow…

I guess you can text message in different languages,

but you are stuck w/ the 2 phones they have…

which aren’t bad either…

The new LG Chocolate phone

You gotta check this LG Chocolate phone.

It’s got a touch interface, kind of like the ipod:

I got the UK version but I guess you can get it from Verizon now,

but you can’t use your SIM card since verizon uses CDMA instead of

GMS.
