Verizon iPhone Launch Day! – No One Cares

Today’s the official Verizon iPhone launch day and it seems more like no one cares across the country. Part of the reason is that iPhone 4 is already well behind in technology with all the new dual-core Android smartphones being launched in the next couple months.

Besides that, it’s getting awfully close to June when iPhone 5 is supposedly launched.

Sorry but I think th

Go out to dinner often where you have to feed the meter?  Tired of fiddling with your coins?  Perhaps it’s time for you to move to San Francisco where they have advanced parking meters that accept credit cards.

Why don’t every city in the U.S. have these?  That’s what I am wonderin’…

The Big Move – How to Switch to Verizon from AT&T!

Several days before CES 2011 started, I had the pleasure of interviewing S.A.L.T., a rising musician from L.A.

Well, I am sure you are tired of dropped calls on AT&T or calling people on AT&T who’s phone drops frequently.

The good news is that Verizon has the iPhone now and I will have to finally let go of the grudge against Apple for going with AT&T exclusively.

Nexus S Android 2.3 Gingerbread Running on Galaxy S!

It looks like someone has successfully ported a Nexus S Android 2.3 Gingerbread to a Galaxy S. It’s not completely ported yet since a lot of major functionalities don’t work such as voice, wifi, etc…etc… But this is a good sign that it will eventually lead to custom ROMs users can download onto their Galaxy S phones.

Give it another 2 weeks, I bet we will have some

WikiLeaks.org Down, Still Up in Switzerland!

Wikileaks.org is still down due to problems with Amazon and EveryDNS not accepting their site’s views due to company policies.

Overall, I would have to say Wikileaks.org might be just what we need to keep our government in check. Clearly, the cables in the Wikileaks show us that our own U.S. government is abusing their powers to the maximum in a way.

I think that’s clearly wrong and it’s time that the government know that there shouldn’t be secrets between the people and them.

And yes, the 2 rape charges on Julian Assange in Switzerland? If y

Verizon Launching 4G LTE at CTIA!

So, today will be a big day for Verizon, who will be launching 4G LTE right here at CTIA around 11:30AM.  From what we know so far, Verizon will probably launch 4G LTE in 30 cities by end of 2010 and hopefully nationwide by late next year.

I had the pleasure of attending Verizon’s private party last night (thanks again to folks at Verizon and great hospitality by Don at B Bars and Restaurant in SF) and actually got to talk to an insider at CDMA development group, who manages the standards of CDMA technology and 3G.

I won’t mention his name but the guy ad CDMA deve

Android OS – The Most Popular Mobile OS in the U.S.!

According to Nielsen’s latest report (which shows up to August 2010), Android OS is now the most popular mobile OS in the U.S. (as far as number of sales of Android OS-equipped units).

In the meanwhile, Apple’s sales have reached a plateau while RIM is seriously hurting.  And yes, this is “after” launch of iPhone 4 but not that surprising given that many people are now clearly preferring Android over others.

According to August data from The Nielsen Company, Android is now the most popular operating system among people who bought a smartphone i

Zoom Q3HD 1080P Portable Camcorder!

Zoom has just announced their new Zoom Q3HD 1080P portable camcorder capable of recording at 30 frames per second on 1080P and 60 frames per second on 720P.

Whoa, that is pretty amazing when you consider the fact that it comes with (beautiful lookin’) stereo microphones on top.

Of course, time will tell if Zoom’s new portable camcorder will live up to its name but for now, it seems like a Flip-beater to me.

With the Q3HD, it’s never been easier or more fun to shoot great videos. Select 720p or 1080p for amazing clarity and detail no matter where or
