Qualcomm Snapdragon Dual-Core Processors 1.2Ghz and 1.5Ghz Coming Soon!

Here’s some great news for the mobile smartphone world. While the current fastest smartphone CPU tops at 1Ghz at the like of Nexus One and HTC Evo 4G, Qualcomm is already working on “dual-core” Snapdragon processors, each with 1.2Ghz or 1.5Ghz of processing power.

This means that you can expect full 1080P HD videos and certainly a whole lot more you can do with a smartphone by the time it hits consumer units next year.

The MSM8260 and MSM8660 are the first members of the Snapdragon family to have a dual-core processor, Qualcomm said Tuesday.

Wibro Egg (4G MiFi) Launched in South Korea!

WiBro Egg, a wifi-tethering device using WiBro (which is like 4G WiMax pretty much), has been launched in South Korea.   Think of it as the MiFi device, except it’s about 10 times faster.

According to the test reports, it’s doing about 8Mbps down and 4Mbps up, not too shabby.

I know Sprint already has a “giant” 4G hotspot device, hopefully they will be adding smaller ones like this later this year.

Here’s a demo video of the device (in Korean):

TG Sambo Launches TS-52C with Intel i5, nVidia G310M, and Multi-touch Touchpad!

TG Sambo, a computer/laptop manufacturer in South Korea, launches its new TS-52C with Intel i5, nVidia G310M, and multi-touch touchpad.  This setup is very similar to the upcoming ASUS UL30Jt, which I am still waiting on for months since CES 2010 to get my hands on.

Of course, the TS-52C will never make it outside South Korea but I believe one day TG Sambo might start selling their laptops internationally.

Acer Chrome OS powered Device Coming at Computex 2010!

Computex 2010 is one of the biggest consumer electronics show held in Taipei, Taiwan.  (You can register here is you want to go.)  I want to go and the airfare is pretty cheap at about $1000 round-trip, non-stop from SFO to Taipei but I don’t know if it’s really worth it.

Anyways, at Computex this year, starting June 1st, Acer, the company that makes a bunch of great laptops and desktops (I am actually writing this blog post on a cheap Acer desktop.), is launching the world’s first Chrome OS device.

Yup, you can start heading to BestBuy as of today to pre-order your own HTC Evo 4G!

BestBuy is now officially taking pre-orders at their stores. (not online)  With BestBuy, The Shack, and Sprint Stores launching the new 4G WiMax HTC Evo 4G smartphone, this is certainly going to be exciting.  We wonder how sales of HTC Evo 4G will do and probably will do pretty well, perhaps better than Verizon’s Droid, with Sprint/ClearWire 4G WiMax clearly a selling point over all other U.S. carriers.

Adobe Fires Back At Apple with Hearts and the Truth!

Adobe takes case against Apple to 'Net with ad, open letter

Oh boy, here’s we go again, Adobe has just launched a new ad campaign aimed at Apple.

In response to Stevie Job’s letter on “openness” (or is it closed?), Adobe says that users should have the freedom to choose their own 3rd party app.  Which is true, I don’t need Apple to be my father, censoring technology that I should have a choice on.

In this case, clearly Apple is interfering with users rights to use what they want.  Users then would have
