Eco-Friendly KFC-Taco Bell Branch Opened!

Two of my favorite fast-foods are KFC and Taco Bell.   I usually like to order 20 hot wings, corn-on-the-cob, and a large cole-slaw at KFC while I stick to like 5-6 regular tacos for Taco Bell.

Well, the news is that one of the KFC-Taco Bell branches are going “green”.  Way too cool, I will be eating more KFC and Taco Bell for sheezy.

The restaurant is designed according to environmental goals that include cutting energy and water consumption by 30 percent and reducing CO2 emissions. Operations at the new site are also expecte

Food Hack – How to Make a Mumbai Sandwich!

I’ve actually never heard of Mumbai sandwiches but they seem to taste good so here’s how to make your own Mumbai sandwich:

Smear the bread with the Bombay sandwich spread, or a combo of coriander and green chile chutney (or any other chutneys you have around). Add generous amounts of raw diced white onion, slices of tomato, sprigs of cilantro and slices of boiled potato (optional). Sprinkle on some chaat masala if you have it.

Here’s a really great way to save the environment, clean up any of your old magazine stashes, and also create a beautiful-looking bowl from your magazines that are gathering with dust anyways.

I saw these for sale at San Deigo Zoo on the summer holidays for like $20 and I decided I could make them instead so, I did! I bet that’s a typical thought for a crafty gal like us =]

BBQ DIY – How to Barbeque Tri-Tip and Baby Back Ribs in High Altitude!

I had the pleasure of taking couple days off last week to head up to Lake Tahoe.  One of my best friend’s had a cabin up there and we’ve decided to go BBQ crazy in snow and high altitude.

Of course, we did go through some drifting lessons in the snow while trying to go uphill when the road was frozen, but we will get into that later.

On the first day, I barbecued bunch of stuff including a tri-tip and baby

Eco DIY – How to Turn your Wine Corks into Placecard Holders!

Here’s an awesome idea for re-using your old wine corks into placecard holders.  I can even see this being used for something else such as your business cards.

Simply cut a slit in your wine cork and cut the bottom off so it won’t move.

If you like, you can hot glue a magnet strip to the bottom of the cork placecard holder. If your table happens to be metal, this will keep it in place and weighted down. If not, you can slip an adhesive magnet under your table cloth to make sure it stays in place.
