Gift DIY – How to Make a Fruit Basket!

I am not buddhist but my girlfriend is and I had the chance to go to a Thai Temple here in SF Bay Area.  Of course, you are supposed to give the monks a gift basket, filled with stuff they would need such as fruits, shaver, toothpaste, etc…etc…

Well, I just happened to see a cool DIY on how to make these cool fruit baskets out of newspaper, maybe I will make one for my girlfriend who can then give it to the monks and keep our karma happy.

Food Hack – How to Make Pickled Pepperoncini!

One of my favorite things to do in the kitchen is to get a jar of Greek Pepperoncinis and eat them one by one until they are all gone.  I don’t know why but pepperoncinis are very addictive, sorta like Korean spicy food, that must be why.

Anyways, I don’t think pickling pepperoncinis are hard, it seems all you need is some distilled vinegar, salt, pepperoncinis, and just put them in a jar for couple days.

Of course, there’s

I’ve actually done this a million times, make french fries from scratch using real potatoes.  It’s actually a great way to make french fries as your fries will end up tasting very fresh and homemade.

Of course, I have to point out that after you cut the french fries, make sure to store them in the freezer right away if you are not going to fry them as they will turn brown and not taste as good.

Easy fast french fries made from scratch! These are the best fries you will ever have. Season them to your taste – salt & pep

Geekify – Space Invaders Wood Cutting Board for your Kitchen!

There’s never been a better time to geekify your kitchen with a space invaders wooden cutting board.  I am going to get one when I get a new house with a nice granite kitchen-countertop.

This cutting board is hand-made in the U.S.A. Each cube of walnut and hard-maple lovingly glued to its brothers, then sanded and polished to a shiny finish. Because they’re made by hand, there’s an extremely limited supply, so make sure you get one before they’

I admit to being a BBQ-fiend, I cannot live without a grill but here’s an awesome Gastar “iGrill” that lets you plug in your favorite iPod or MP3 player to play music while you cook using the 8500 BTU propane gas tank.

I highly like this idea plus I like the size of this grill as it’s portable and won’t take up a large space in your home.
