The Parallel Image device by Gebhard Sengmuller dives into the physical visualization of parallel connection between two displays that can transmit light through its thousands of wires.
I have to say, the point of this artistic installation is to demonstrate the capabilities of the wires, not an invention by itself.
I would love to have one of these in my house, that would be a lot of fun for sure.

I really love it when people make things like this out of stuff that would go into your recycling bin, a pencil holder made using old tin cans and grout! Brilliant! Keep up the great work and reduce our carbon footprint!
We all use some canned foods from time to time. And we all probably use empty cans for one purpose or another. This instructable shows how to decorate cans to be used as organizers for pencils, pens, paint brushes, etc. It’s a simple thing to do, and children would especially have fun making their creations.
Thinking about building yourself one of these cool Vacuum Tube Lamps? I think these are more artistic than anything. Who cares how it works, it “looks” great. I WANT ONE!
The basic circuits are rather similar, but the new project has a number of differences. Most notably it is easier and less costly to build.
