Here’s a guy who hacked his GTO and iPod Touch to create a DIY iPod Touch remote control for his car.  Pretty cool stuff I’d say, it shouldn’t be long before cars and smartphones merge.

Following the key-fob he created a control system using a 2.4gHz cell phone which used the speed-dial to create timed events like putting up the top and rolling up the windows. Auto DIY – How to Make LED Headlights for your Car!

My friends have been asking me how to make LED headlights ever since they found out I can hack up some electronic stuff.  Well, LEDs are pretty easy to me since I’ve dealt with them a lot but I won’t tell you how to do it, there’s a guy who made an instructable for that.

Car DIY – How to Make a Smartphone Car Mount!

Here’s a great way to make a car-mount for your smartphone such as an iPhone, Nexus One, or even a Palm Pre.  I think this is the best one I’ve seen so far that makes use of cheap PVC pipes and craft foam.  That’s all there is to it!

(I am making one of these soon for my new Nexus One, which btw does navigation flawless, I mean flawless really!)

GSM Hack – How to Make GSM Car Starter!

Most of you hot rodders know that stock intake is cause of many power losses, especially the more horsepower your car has in stock condition, the more horsepower you lose when you first buy the car.

Ford will be Adding WiFi with Broadband USB Add-on Capability to its SYNC Mobile System!

Ford will become the first car manufacturer to have WiFi on-board except with a twist, users can simply plug-in their Verizon or Sprint USB Broadband dongle to share internet via in-car WiFi with others (or just for yourself).

I think this is a much better idea than trying to sell in-car internet services through proprietary technology as no one will buy that plus a a USB broadband dongle can be carried off the car.

For one, I already own 2 USB Broadband cards, Ford will make consumers like me to get the car and improve my WiFi experience in the car.

Someone Broke Into My Car! – And How to Get Your Auto Window Replaced!
