Here’s a really interesting project that could be a deadly autonomous project if you swapped real guns for its airsoft gun that uses IR sensors to lock in on the target. I think this is going to be future of wars (although I hate wars), fighting machine to machine and soldiers behind their video game console. Well, just sayin’, this project could be just the tip of iceburg for futuristic war machines. via hackedgadgets,
Here’s a cool implementation of Android smartphone controlling an RC car via WiFi. I know there’s a bunch of ways to use Arduino with Android but this is an example that there’s no limits to what you can do with an Android device and your brain.
The RC car (battery powered) is completely controlled by Flyport. The module manages Wi-Fi link to an Android Smartphone and it drives the servo motors (PWM signal). On the following video you see the Android phone internal accelerometers drive directly the RC Car.
We’ve seen some amazing helicopters (or hexacopter they call it) in the past, here’s another cool build using wood, a DIY wooden quadrocopter capable of impressing your carpenter friend and engineers. Watch video of it working after the break, AMAZING!
Now, I dug the old flier out of storage and thought I would like to build a wooden one. As, the original Roswell Quadrocopter was made from paperbacked foam. Seeing now, the electronics and motors are much better then 11 ye
Along with the fact that Nexus One can be used as a full-fledged desktop linux computer, Nexus One has been making some big headlines lately with this guy hacking it as a wireless gas pedal for his RC cars.
Sounds like a ton of fun!

John Boiles, a software engineer, has just finished making his really cool WiFi RC car that uses a Linksys router (attached to the RC car) and his iPod Touch as control. You can learn how to make one of these awesome iPod Touch controlled WiFi RC Cars here.
I don’t want to take anything away from John but a little suggestion, instead of mounting the whole Linksys router, you might do better using a WiFi module for embedded processors. (or just strip the plastic off Linksys at least)
Brilliant project though, making use of W
