iPhone Hack – How to Strap a DSLR Camera Lens to your iPhone!

Here’s a rather fun hack you can do, strap a DSLR camera lens to your iPhone using duct tape!  Well, there’s some kind of old CD case used as adapter but still, this is obviously not going to hold up in real life.

The results are rather not as fascinating as I would have hoped (that’s the new San Francisco Millenium Tower residences btw)

Best 1080P HD Rendering Software!

With recent purchase of my new Canon 7D DSLR camera, which is capable of film-like 24P 1080P HD videoss, I ran into several problems, one of  them being rendering.

Wireless Radio-based Flash Trigger for Camera

Max’s Note: Here’s a really good deal for making your existing DSLR flash wireless for just $23.69.  Great deal if you ask me.

This Wireless Flash Trigger is a radio remote system for firing hotshoe or PC-connected flash units wirelessly. It consists of a transmitter and a receiver. The transmitter fits into a camera’s hotshoe and the receiver clips onto the hotshoe base of a battery-powered flash unit. Just turn the receiver on by sliding over the power switch, and then take a photo. That’s it. A radio signal is transmitted from the transmitter to the receiv

DSLR Hack – How to Make a Macro Tilt Lens for your DSLR using Lens from a Slide Projector!

Need a cheap macro lens for your DSLR?  You might want to consider hacking one up yourself from an old slide projector and make this cool, cheap macro tilt lens.  It won’t make you look more professional but heck, if you can take better photos, who cares right? See more DSLR hacks here.

I just came back from the Christchurch SuperShed (our city council recycling centre) where I bought a discarded slide projector for $6.  In less than an hour, I turned the projector lens into a tilt macro lens for my dSLR.

Canon 7D Sample/Test Video of my Desk!

Here’s a quick sample/test video I took of my desk.  I uploaded the raw1080P HD .MOV file to YouTube and I have to say it looks rather good other than times when my Canon 7D is out of focus, which something I am still learning.
