Bike that lets you Low-Ride or High-Ride on the Go!

Here’s an awesome design for a bike that will let the rider “low-ride” or “high-ride” while ridin’.  What a great concept, I can envision future bikes coming like this.

Created by German industrial designer Stefan Wallmann, the Zweistil provides with two riding positions. One to travel in the city, when you need to be more agile and aware of the traffic around you. The other is to travel long distances and for leisure, when you can lay back and enjoy the views.

Bike Hack – How to Make a USB Charger for your Bike!

If you are like me, you are probably very familiar with bike lights that use the power of the pedal to keep your eye-sight bright when riding at night.  Well, here’s a great idea that uses that same power, except to power your USB gadgets such as iPod, iPhone, or whatever.

We initially theorized the development and feasibility of a regenerative braking system for use on bicycles. This system would create a mobile power source to extend the battery life of portable electronic devices carried by the rider.

Bike Hack – How to Make a Bike Handlebar Magazine Reader!

One of the most efficient ways to work out on your treadmill or bike is to read a magazine  or a book.  Or should I say “inefficient”? (if you go too slow)

You’ve probably seen these everywhere including at even the worst fitness centers in the world but you can always make your own like this guy did for his wife.

Doing any riding on the exercise bike this year? Getting bored going nowhere fast? Don’t have a

Eco-consciuosness – Space that Cars, Bus, and Bikes Take!

Here’s a simple picture of how much space that cars, bus, and bikes take in comparison to the number of people using it.  I have to say they should add skateboards, which should definitely come on top for the most eco-friendliest vehicle.

In this image, you can see three interpretations of what it takes to get the same amount of people into town for work, shopping or for whatever reason they would need to travel. They have chosen three modes of travel, car, bus and cycle, this picture says it all.

Bike DIY – How to Make a Bike Seat Cover that Looks like a Condom!

I do remember giving up on my bike while going to college, simply due to the fact that Police in Davis are not as bike-friendly.  (Davis, California is one of the only cities in California that forces you to get a BIKE PERMIT otherwise you can easily get a BIKE parking ticket.  What a bunch of jokes, that’s why I started skateboarding after receiving my first bike parking ticket for $40, no more biking there.  F

Bike Hack – How to Strengthen Your Bike Rack!

This isn’t the best bike rack hack I have ever saw but it’s still worthy of a blog post.  You can easily hack your bike rack to hold more weight by re-using old pieces of metal and wires as shown in the picture.

Random piece of metal + bailing wire = not only a great way to support the milk-crate carryall, but also a great hack!  Simple, cheap, effective…I like.

Bicycle DIY – How to Make a Cargo Trailer for your Bike!

When I used to go to middle school about 20 years ago, I used to have a rack for my alto saxophone I’d carry to school.  It was very heavy and the ropes made my bike look like a bike SUV. (if there’s such a thing)

Anyways, here’s a cool bicycle DIY on how to make a cargo trailer for your bike, sorta like motorcycles.

The front half is an old 26er mtb frame that I had been using as an errand/beater bike. The back half is a 29er mtb frame that I had purchased online a couple years ago… it showed up with a bad head tube/dow
