How Do Alkaline Batteries work? [Education]

Think of a battery as a small power plant that converts chemical energy through a reaction into electrical energy. First of all there is the container (1). This is a steel cylinder housing the cell’s ingredients.

Energizer Eco Power Solutions at CES 2010!

Guess what, I finally made it to Las Vegas, a day before CES 2010 Exhibition officially opens. The only “bad” part about the trip was that I got stuck in a room with really bad cellular broadband signals. Well, I might just have to ask the hotel for a room at a higher level, I think several big buildings are actually blocking the cellular signals here at Luxor. (Even the free hotel wired Ethernet is crap, as slow as my broadband card that doesn’t get enough signals.)

Sony Vaio T Laptops Get 17 Hours of Battery Life!

I thought my Eee PC 1000HE got plenty battery life at about 9 hours but Sony Vaio T laptop (which is only available in Japan as of now) touts as whopping 17 hours of battery life!

Of course, this would come at much higher price than let’s say you can with an ASUS UL30Vt series laptops, which get a good 6 hours on a full charge.
