DIY Emergency Excuse Generator Will Never Run Out of Ideas!

I remember someone sent this in and I was reading the project details for like 20 minutes then I had to do something and completely forgot about it!  Anyways, this is a really cool DIY project that involves nice casing driven from an old external modem box (a great use for many new projects indeed), LCD, and some PIC programming with some language logic added to it.

Thermal Energy DIY – How to Make a ThermoElectric LED Lamp!

Here’s a great idea for making something useful, a DIY thermoelectric LED lamp that uses that generates electricity off the temperature difference between the hot candle and the cool heat sink.  I have to say this could come in handy when your power goes out.  Rather than using the candle itself to see in the dark, use it to power this cool LED lamp.

Windows 7 Hack – How to Run Windows 7 in “God” Mode!

Apparently, Microsoft developers have decided to put a “god” mode in Windows 7.  (and also works on Windows Vista)

It basically gives you full control over everything under one folder, might be fun to try it:

To enter “GodMode,” one need only create a new folder and then rename the folder to the following:

Household Hack – How to Hack Swiffer Bottle!

I feel that American companies try too hard marketing their stuff to buy refills and whatnot including printers.  Well, for Swiffer dusters out there, you don’t have to keep buying refills if you on a budget, try this Swiffer bottle hack so you can refill with Mr. Clean and water instead, practically the same thing for a lot less.

Drill a 5/16″ hole in the top (when upside down) of the bottle. Hot glue a 5/16″ nut around the hole you just drilled. Once cool, insert your 5/16″ bolt into the hole. We refilled ours with half Mr. Clean, half water.

Cellular Hack – How to Hack GSM!

PC Hack – How to Build a Cheap PC for $131!

With the invent of Intel Atom processors, building a cheap PC is now possible for under $150.  Gizmodo has a great article showing you different ways you can build a PC on the cheap including the above tallying at $131.

Of course, I think the point of building your PC is so you maximize your budget, I would probably not build a PC myself unless I use the best CPU and parts.
