How to Make a DIY Keypad Door Entry System!

Here’s an interesting hack that will allow you to build d DIY keypad door entry system.  The highlight of this system is that you can hack a normal keylock with an RC servo, brilliant!

I believe that kids (and not only kids) that have their hands on electronics, wanted at least once in their lives to make an electronic keylock system for their house or room. When i was a kid, i had bought a Smart Kit Keycode lock system, and i had adapted it on the external door of my house. But this door had already the automatic-release mechanism. DIY Android WiFi Controlled RC Car!

Here’s a cool implementation of Android smartphone controlling an RC car via WiFi.  I know there’s a bunch of ways to use Arduino with Android but this is an example that there’s no limits to what you can do with an Android device and your brain.

The RC car (battery powered) is completely controlled by Flyport. The module manages Wi-Fi link to an Android Smartphone and it drives the servo motors (PWM signal). On the following video you see the Android phone internal accelerometers drive directly the RC Car.

DIY Android/Arduino-Controlled Labyrinth/Maze!

We are gonna be seeing a slew of great Android-controlled Arduino applications, these things are about to explode soon and here’s another great application showing control of a physical labyrinth/maze with a Nexus One Android smartphone:

Inspired by the ball maze at Google I/O 2011, I decided to go and raid my parents’ house for the ball maze I grew up with. When I found it the challenge was set: I had one night to develop the hardware and software to control the maze using my Google Nexus One, using only what I could find in my (sadly very small and limit
