Over the weekend, I had the pleasure of installing Ubuntu on my Nexus One Android phone.  Basically, this hack let’s you run Ubuntu as a virtual machine under your Nexus One Android phone.

Why?  This will give you access to millions of existing programs on Ubuntu linux plus your phone is now capable of doing so much more like being able to crack WEP, server web pages, and a whole lot more.

Speed/3D Benchmarking, Nexus One is Still King of the Hill!

Check out this speed/3D benchmarking test between the Droid X, HTC Evo 4G, and the Nexus One which proves Nexus One is still the fastest of them all.

Of course, let’s not forget also that Nexus One is running the latest, zippy Android 2.2 Froyo while Droid X and Evo 4G are on Android 2.1.

Once Droid X and HTC Evo 4G are upgrade to 2.2 Froyo, we should expect similar performance between all of the three Android smartphones.

Nexus One Launching in South Korea!

Google’s first-ever physical product, the Nexus One will be hitting retail outlets of South Korea, where we will see how if fares against iPhones and Samsung’s new line of Android phones.

The good thing?  Nexus One in South Korea will come loaded with Android 2.2 Froyo, wifi tethering support, and yeah, the ability to view flash-based web sites with its mobile Flash Player Beta 10.1.
