Android vs. iPhone 4 Browser Javascript Test!

Apparently, the new iPhone 4 iOS 4 lags behind Android’s latest 2.2 Froyo by at least 50% on javascript benchmarking test done by ArsTechnica.  This shows how much more efficient and faster the Android 2.2 Froyo is over the iOS4.

We compared these findings with that of our tests of Apple’s mobile Safari browser on the iPhone 4. The results show that the Android device delivers significantly faster JavaScript execution than the iPhone, scoring over three times better on V8 and almost twice as fast on SunSpider. Apple has some work to do it if wants mobile Safari t

iPhone 5!

No more iPhone 4 reception problems with the iPhone 5!  Oops, they forgot to take the iPhone 4 antenna out.  Nevermind, it’s still going to drop calls.

On the other news, Verizon is launching their new Motorola phone that can make/receive calls anywhere, with a whopping antenna.  (I actually took this photo at my local Verizon store while they were showing off their new prototype.)

Why Older People Should get HTC Evo 4G/Droid X over iPhone 4!

For older people (generally over 50 here I am talking about), resolution on a smartphone isn’t such a big issue but readability is.

Let me give you an example.

I always upgrade my mom’s desktop computer from time-to-time and the number one complaint she has about her computer is the resolution.

She would rather have lower resolution monitors because the text size looks bigger to her eyes, which is around 1024×800 or 1280×1024.

Anything higher than that, my mom has problems with.

And most older people will start losing their close-up v

iPhone 4 Class Action Suit Filed, “I am Going To Hold the Phone Anyway I like it!”

I saw this coming when I first about Steve Jobs telling customers, “Avoid holding it that way”.

Apple and Jobs needs to come clean about their hardware flaws with its antenna.

Clearly, it’s a simple matter, the two antennas, one for Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS and the other for UMTS/GSM for network data/voice.  When you short the two antennas with a human hand or anything conductive for the matter, they will interfere with each other.

How to Backup iPhone ECID SHSH on Cydia’s Apple’s Signature Server!

For those of you who still haven’t upgraded to iOS4, you might want to save your iPhone’s ECID SHSH on Cydia’s Apple signature server.  What this allows you to do is to be able to downgrade back to 3.1.2 or 3.1.3 because Apple has a new security mechanism, meaning if you don’t do this, you won’t be able to jailbreak your iPhone. (given that you haven’t jailbroke it ever)

You never know when you need to jailbreak it so just start pointing your DNS for gs.apple.com to 74.208.10.249.

You can do this by adding the following line to your HOSTS

How to Downgrade 4.0 to 3.1.3 Firmware on your iPhone 2G, 3G, 3Gs!

For those of you who have upgraded to iOS 4, you will need to actually downgrade it back to 3.1.2 or 3.1.3 to jailbreak/unlock your iPhone 2G, 3G, or 3Gs.

I was actually trying to do this for one of my friends lately but it seems like Apple has blocked people from doing this anymore BUT if you already jailbroke your iPhone 2G/3G/3Gs before upgrading to iOS4, you can still jailbreak it.

Apple uses a signature server which can be hacked via using Cydia’s signature server. The catch is that you need to actually sign
