iPhone 3G OS 3.0 Hack – How to Use iPhone 3G as a Broadband Modem over USB or Bluetooth!

One of the main features of iPhone 3G OS 3.0 is the Internet tethering feature, which basically lets you use the iPhone as a broadband modem over USB or bluetooth.  Smartphones like Blackberry comes with this feature as a standard but I guess Apple still hasn’t figured out how to monetize from it, so they have disabled the function in the official release but some hackers have found how to re-enable it.

It’s a great way to use your iPhone 3G as a broadband modem although I doubt it will be fast enough as iPhone is very slow running on

Engadget has a really extensive comparison between different operating systems, I am a little disappointed though that the comparisons didn’t include any speed testing.  However, very informational so check it out.

3rd Party iPod Headphones will require Apple Authentication Chip!

Are you kidding me?  I just did a complete review of the new Apple In-ear Headphones and how they do NOT work on most iPods and Apple wants to make money off other companies making volume/mic function for their headphones.  I know it’s a recession, but this is going WAY too far, knock it off Apple, you need to do the opposite in these hard financial times.

iPhone OS 3.0 will be here real soon, let’s hope the new operating system will have additional support for CDMA/EDVO.

We just got the announcement, iPhone OS 3.0 is coming. Set your clocks, mark your calendars. It’s going down March 17th. Apparently, we’ll get a sneak peak at the new OS, as well as a look at a brand new version of the SDK.
