Sprint – Shortage of HTC Evo 4Gs!

It seems like Sprint is running real low on their supply of HTC Evo 4G.

I can contest to that by the number of visitors I get on HTCEvoHacks.com versus PalmPre-Hacks.com and NexusOneHacks.net, the web traffic coming to my HTC Evo Hacks blog site is about 3-5 times more than the Palm Pre and Nexus One as seen in graphs below.

Check out this speed/3D benchmarking test between the Droid X, HTC Evo 4G, and the Nexus One which proves Nexus One is still the fastest of them all.

Of course, let’s not forget also that Nexus One is running the latest, zippy Android 2.2 Froyo while Droid X and Evo 4G are on Android 2.1.

Once Droid X and HTC Evo 4G are upgrade to 2.2 Froyo, we should expect similar performance between all of the three Android smartphones.

Here’s Evo 4G on the left versus Droid X on the right from the side with the top of the phones pointing left.  You can see that the Evo 4G sorta sits balanced while the Evo 4G has a gap.

Here’s Droid X on the left versus Evo 4G on the right with bottom of each phone facing the camera.  You can clearly tell the the Droid X is much thinner.
