Droid Pro Review!

At CTIA 2010 in San Francisco yesterday, I had the pleasure of playing with the new Droid Pro.   At first, we all thought Droid Pro was going to be a Droid 2 World phone but it turns out the Droid Pro is actually a different type of animal, it features a vertical QWERTY keyboard and it “feels” very similar to my old Blackberry.

Obviously this new Droid Pro is aimed at Blackberry users who want to switch to an Android smartphone but won’t because of the keyboard they are used to.  Well, no more worries, the Droid Pro’s Blackberry-like keyboard feels g

CTIA Coverage in San Francisco!

Well, these next couple days will be a ton of fun for folks reading Zedomax.com as I am actually at CTIA right here in San Francisco to cover the latest in mobile gadgets.

Android OS – The Most Popular Mobile OS in the U.S.!

According to Nielsen’s latest report (which shows up to August 2010), Android OS is now the most popular mobile OS in the U.S. (as far as number of sales of Android OS-equipped units).

In the meanwhile, Apple’s sales have reached a plateau while RIM is seriously hurting.  And yes, this is “after” launch of iPhone 4 but not that surprising given that many people are now clearly preferring Android over others.

Skype announced today that Skype for Android is available for ALL Android smartphones.  Verizon Wireless superstars like Droid X and Droid 2 have been enjoying Skype app for awhile now but now all Android smartphone users will be able to take advantage of cheaper/free calls via Skype using their 3G/4G connection or WiFi.

Droid R2D2 Coming September 30th!

Droid R2D2 will be coming soon to everyone this September 30th.  The Droid R2D2 is basically a Droid 2 with custom Star Wars themes including the dock, which features additional small changes to the original Droid 2 dock.

Google Android Keeps Taking over the Smartphone Market!

While everyone else practically lost their U.S. subscriber base between April and July 2010, Google’s Android has come out well ahead, with a change of 5% increase over its current market share.
