After having my new G2 Phone for months, I didn’t feel a need to root it because the phone itself already provides for free wifi/USB tethering from the get-go, the main reason why I usually root Android smartphones, so I can get some free wifi tethering I already paid for (without paying the carriers TWICE).
Anyways, one of my tweeps on Twitter keep bugging me (literally!) every week to root it so last week I finally root it. Btw, rooting the G2 Phone is still pretty darn complicated but I did get it on the first try.
You can read the full instructions over at G2Hacks.com, my new blog dedicated to the G2 Phone.
