I’ve been using my HP Pavillion Elite HPE-450f for couple months now and I have to say it’s the best value for your money if you are looking for a fast desktop computer out of the box.
Of course, you can build your own PC too but I think the point is that not all of us have the time to build a new PC. Besides that, I bet it will actually cost you more money to build your own.
The HP Pavilion Elite HPE-450f features an Intel Core i7-870 processor (2.93Ghz, 1MB L2 + 8MB Shared L3 Cache), 8GB PC3-10600 DDR3 SDRAM memory (4x2GB) (expandable to 16GB), 1TB (Terabyte) 7200 RPM Serial ATA hard drive, Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, ATI Radeon HD 5770 graphics card (1GB DDR5 dedicated graphics memory) with support for Blu-ray and Microsoft DirectX 11, Combo Blu-ray/SuperMulti DVD Burner with LightScribe Technology, High Definition Audio with up to 7.1 surround sound capabilities.
For ports, the Elite HPE-450f comes with headphone/microphone jack, 9 USB 2.0 ports, 1 FireWire (IEEE 1394), dual link DVI, HDMI, VGA & Display Port, Optical Audio Out, LAN, Microphone/Line-in/Line-out, Rear speaker-out, and Side speaker out, 10/100/1000Base-T network interface, Wireless LAN 802.11b/g/n, HP USB keyboard and optical mouse, and Front panel 15-in-1 memory card reader.
I’ve compared the features of this HP desktop with many other brands and this one certainly is the best value for your money.
Of course, every desktop comes with bloatware but I have found that they are not so bad since this HP desktop is so fast.
Overall, I am very satisfied with its performance, I can now render my 1080P HD videos in under 20 minutes, what used to take 2 hours with my old, ancient Intel Core 2 desktop.
For gamers, I think this is a pretty good desktop capable of going all out.
The best price for the HP Pavilion Elite HPE-450f can be found on Amazon for $1,198.00.
There’s also the Elite HPE-470f which comes with an AMD processor flavor. I think it’s just as good but I have been preferring Intel i7 these days, don’t ask me why, just feel that way.
